Due to the integrity required to run a transshipment facility, the licensing
processes require a special application to be made to the customs
service department, that closely examines the stability, integrity and
strictness of the security systems in place. Only after rigorous
inspections and thorough evaluation of compliance does customs service
department grant a license to operate a transit shed/cfs and customs
bonded warehouses with the following.
Security and Goods Inspection.
- Fulltime customs officers.
- Kenya Bureau of standards officers.
- Security officers.

Any other government officials that may be required from time to time.

Registration Process.
- Registration of cargo to destined locations in East and Central Africa.
- Inspection of goods and ensuring all documents are updated.
- Ensuring all book records and online registration tally.
